At Serendipity Market it’s all in the name (and food). From delicious breakfasts to tastebud-tantalizing pastries, consider this your new go-to Sunday Brunch spot. The perfect place to eat, drink and be merry.
I recently was invited to enjoy Serendipity Market, located on East Patrick Street. I just want to give a huge shout out to them for the invitation, and for a good time, to say it was anything less than serendipitous would be an understatement. It was a beautiful day outside, and I was extremely excited to dive right in.
I had no idea what was in store for me to try. I’d let Leah (their social media guru) pick out some goodies for me to try, and I was over-the-moon excited when I saw what she had chosen. But first, coffee. I decided upon arrival that I needed a coffee the size of my head. A cappuccino was in order, and boy did they deliver. Sometimes I find cappuccinos to be too bitter, or too sweet. This was the perfect temperature, perfect balance of milk and espresso.
Next was the INCREDIBLE Smoked Salmon Bagel. It was absolutely amazing, we’re talking 1,0000 chili pepper emojis good. Piled with cream cheese, tomatoes, red onions and capers galore. THIS is how you do lox. I’m not going to lie, it’s been hard to find the perfect bagel in Frederick. But I definitely found it here. It was so fluffy and light. Not too overly toasted. I’m thinking about going back tomorrow for breakfast. Overzealous? Not when it comes to this bagel convection perfection.
To complete the trifecta, I was treated to a HUGE, incredibly delicious, French Toast. Usually when you think of French Toast you picture a few pieces of bread cut into triangles with some powdered sugar and syrup. Nothing too fancy about it. But let me tell you something…I will never be the same after trying Serendipity’s. It’s gigantic, beautiful, piled with berries, soaked in cream, powdered sugar delight. This blows any French toast I’ve ever dug into out of the water. Did I mention it comes with bacon? If you don’t smother your bacon in syrup, take my advice and try it next time.
Serendipity gave me an experience I’ll remember forever. When I say you NEED to try it… well… RUN don’t walk. I left extremely full (my dress popped open) and happy. I will be back, I will be hungry, and I’m bringing my whole family to try the salmon bagel. MK’s Plate wholeheartedly approved. Well done Serendipity.
Until next time,
